Upon purchasing my new pc I opened the box only to find that it would not power up. After several contacts with tech support (thats too funny) and several phone calls
I was told to give them a credit card so they could bill me for shipping (again) to send it to them for repair
Why should i pay when it was defective the day I bought it?
Wanted my money back and to return it explaining this would be the 4th pc I had purchased from them
I was informed I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee, well that made me furious to say the least... No wonder they closed all their stores. To tell someone this policy after the purchase is fraud and in violation of several laws. I will be filing in small claims court as well as seeking to join anyone in a class action suit. It isnt the money its the arrogance of corporate america but in gateway's case it is beyound belief.
They should know I have a lot of free time to pursue them as long as they are in business
