I have an hp Pavilion a250y it is still under extended warranty till 8/21/06. I have had uncountable problems with the computer since buying it new from hpshopping.com. This last month I had to send it to the Hp repair center and The repair was completed on 3/6/06 since them I am still having problems. I have gone thru the chain of command from technician in India to senior case manager in Canada to finally reaching a excuitive Case Manager who refused to address my concern and send out a replacement part. My dvd-rw drive was making a grinding noise when being used at times and the dvd rom drive would not read discs at times.
Hp sent out two new drives the DVD-Rom works ok and now reads all discs, but the new DVD-RW is not working correctly at times and the drive is very noisy when opening or closing. According the the Hp excuitive case manager it sound normal as does the operation of the drive. At times it freezes during tasks and times it runs correctly. To Hp this is normal and they will do nothing to correct my concern. What a joke I can not understand how they can say this is normal. When I asked to speak with the excuitive case managers supervisor I was told there was no one above him for me to talk too. I questioned that response and was again told the same thing. Well here I am reporting my complaint here for everyone to read as to how Hp cares about there customers.
I am thru buying hp products. I now seem stuck with a computer that not only works poorly but with a extended warranty that is worth less than the paper it is printed on.
