I purchased a Dell computer 2 years ago. Asked the sales rep. For the $100 rebate offered on the computer I had to return. She put me on hold while she checked with her "supervisor" and came back a while later to say it had been approved. We carefully went over the sys. Configuration and pricing several times.
The rebate did not appear on the invoice. Tried to remedy thru "custome service". Sent in full payment less the $100. After Dell was done adding late fees and interest the amount is close to $450. I've spent many, many fustrating hours on the phone with them, and twice customer service reps. Have told me they will credit the account. What a den of theives!!!
I have in writing from a Dell executive (not just a rep) that my accout will be credited... But it never happens. Meanwhile, this appears on my credit report and I have had to deal with three collection agencies. My creit is flawless except for this incident. Apparently the only way I can get out of Dell hell is through small claims court.
