I found an unexplained charge on my bank statement for 48.79. I called the number listed with the charge and found that it was a long diatnce calling plan.
I did not sign up for this as I do not have a phone in my name. My brother's name has always been on the billing and is quite different. The LD plan representative that answered told me they would issue me a credit and they emailed me a confirmation.
However, I was told that online companies such as QVC or Tiger Direct must have signed me up for this service as they have a check box on their site that does it automatically if you don't notice it.
This evidently takes place when you place an order. I do not know if this is true but I plan to find out.
Luckily I noticed this charge as most would not as it is not very descriptive as to what it is for. I was told it will take 7-10 days to get the credit.
