Promised $20 rebate after purchase of 100 cd spindle, never sent rebate, 50% of discs defective consumer fraud ripoff New Rochelle

Purchased "Prime Peripherals" CD-R spindle at Staples with advertised $20 rebate with fill-in form and proof-of-purchase. Sent in all required materials and never received rebate. Found this website and called 877-416-4692, a number listed by another consumer reported here, and after a LONG conversation with a rep who insisted I needed to re-send my information (form, proof of purchase), I asked to speak to a manager, was put on hold for about 5-10 minutes, rep returned to phone line, said his manager told him to take my name and address and said that my rebate would arrive within 4-6 weeks.
