Internet Ripoff over billing poor customer service Huge over billing and more

Well lets see where to begin, we signed up with comcast internet package back in october for their $19.95 a month deal. We were assured that they would be charging us only $19.95 a month plus $3 for the modem rental charge. We already had cable tv running monthly at $48.99

When we got the installation package and installed we had problems internet wasnt working, so we called comcast and they sens someone out to check th outside line, the guy advised us that we were connecting with two many splitters throught the hous and told us we were better splitting the cable right at the first entry point and using one for the house and one soley for internet, which we did ourselves and he claimed there would be no fee as he didnt do anything just looked at the outside and tested the line

Well the next month not only did we receive a bill for his work which they did refund for us after speaking to them but they tried charging us full price of internet not the discounted rate

We called and supposidly got it al sorted, then the same happened the next month and the next and so on. We eventually got it sorted several times and quoted that we should only be paying a total of $71.08 a month for cable tv and internet and modem rental. Then it continues still we are being charged over $100 a month and now they slapped several strange charges in the hundreds onto one mnths statement totalling over $400 in the internet section for one month, then a credit of just over $200

After calling them several times emailing several times and speaking with 3 different departments we have been told that the charges were not meant to be there and would be removed and show on the next bill as such.

Several of these phone calls to their servicedepartment we have had to get the account holder to verify that i was allowed to speak with them about his accoutn as i deal with the internet not him, but every time they swear that i am not listed on the account several other people are but not me and its getting rather annoying now and a big inconvinience for us having to both be here to deal with the account etc

I have said several times that we were unhappy with their service and that we wished something done about it and were thinking of taking our internet elsewhere but they just dont want to help out as fast as they should and each time a problem seems to be resolved another comes up or the same one again. Anyone else in michigan having similar problems?
