Full of BS. A complete waste of three weeks

Open letter to Verizon.

On January 3rd I placed an order to move my service. I selected a package deal that included Freedom essentles Direct TV and DSL service. The person I spoke to assured me that there would be no lapse in my DSL service. Then I found out there would be a DSL lapse in service. The setup date for the TV and phone were January 9th and the DSL activation date was January 19th, a 10 day laps in DSL service. I called and was promised a dial up service so I could stay online while waiting for the DSL. I never received an email with the login information and had to call to get things setup for the temporary dial-up service.

After a few days I looked online to see the order statis and read, "service order canceled" for the DSL. I called to find out what was going on and I was assured that my DSL would be active on the 19th. The very next day I called during business hours and was assured that the service would be active. On the 19th I called to ask why my DSL service still wasn't active and was told it would be active after 6PM, how convenient is that? After not taking no for an answer, the operator finally told me I could not get DSL because the CO was full.

I was not told this during all the previous calls except one call when I mentioned setting up a new account for the new house and canceling the old account when everything was active at the new house to avoid a laps in DSL service. I was told at that time that if I setup a new account there would be no room for me at the CO, but if I stayed with moving the existing account, there would be no problem. Each call I made that took at least an hour each, I DO NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF TIME FOR BS.

I purchased the Direct TV package with the assurance that I could also get your DSL service. Now I will be liable for the early cancellation fee for canceling the direct TV because in order to get high speed Internet I must also have a different Cable TV. I am extremely dissatisfied with Verizon and I will be canceling all services with Verizon as soon as th other company gets me setup. I am also going to convince anyone who will listen to cancel his or her service with Verizon. I may also be looking into legal action against the company. Thanks for wasting three weeks of my time.
