I had purchased an engagement ring set on eBay, and then had to sell it because of other matters. I decided to sell it back on eBay, and it had been posted for about a day when Rolf Kaufmann sent me an email stating that he would like to buy it through an escrow service - Quintecha Solutions.
I couldn't find anything out about the company, but they seemed to be legit. I agreed and we proceeded with the transaction. The payment procedure looked valid, so I shipped off the merchandise. I never heard from this person again, they have even disabled the website for the time being.
