I cancelled my Juno account in May after having DSL for some time, and I was no longer using Juno.
I called to cancel my account in early April and after repeatedly (about 5 times!) telling the woman I was not interested in "backup" Juno service for $4.95/month I was given a confirmation number and a last billing date of May 14th. Just tonight, I checked my account and noticed I was still being charged! It is November 20! I am extremely angry / irate / upset / pissed at being charged since May for something I cancelled. (I will check my account more often and cafefully from now on)
I called immediately and demanded those charges be refunded. Basically, I was passed around on the phone talking to different people who don't speak english that well, put on hold for 15 minutes, etc. I even gave my confirmation number and was told that I never cancelled my service. Then the next lady I talked to told me I signed up for the backup service for $4.95/month. Then why was $9.95 taken out of my account each month??? In the end, I am only going to be refunded two months worth and was told to "take it up with my bank".
I am still very pissed off and am going to talk with my bank first thing tomorrow to see what I can have done.
Stay away from this company!
