This is the 2nd notebook I bought from them and this one also has a defective power cord/adapter
The last one caused a fire.
I have been calling them for 3 weeks about the problem and got no reply. They never answer the phone or emails.
I finally got a guy today and he kept me on hold for 3 hours and then hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor.
The power adapter is a known issue with Dell. It was in the news and in consumer reports magazine that their cords are defective and can cause fires.
All I want is a new power adapter and cord. I paid $900 for the notebook and after 2 months use, it is useless because the battery is discharged and I have no way to recharge it.
I had mine a little over 2 months when it started overheating and blowing the circuit breaker and it won't recharge the battery in the computer because it heats up the minute I plug it in and the green light goes out.
ALL I WANT IS A DARN POWER CORD AND ADAPTER AND NO ONE WILL ANSWER MY EMAILS FOR A MONTH AND NO ONE WILL ANSWER MY CALLS. They do this on purpose so the warranty will run out
BUT this cord is known to be defective
