I want to comment about the lousy customer service and billing I've had to deal with ever since the nightmare of trying to sign up for the high-speed internet service with Verizon Avenue. I have called and emailed several times over the last few months and am met either w / apathy or incompetence. No one at Verizon Avenue seems to care that, through no fault of our own, we are getting screwed over in a major way. We're being charged for the six-month bundle rate, which we never talked about with anyone at Verizon (the promotion was supposed to be the first 30 days free, then around $35 per month after that). Not only that, but the modem which didn't work at first and we were told to return we did (UPS tracking number is 1Z57E5F99054601798), but we are not being credited because they said it was sent to some other Verizon location (how is this possible when we used the label received from Verizon?) and we owe for the six months we did not want and the modem we do not have. Has some other person out there had to deal with this sort of thing? I'd find it incredible to believe that we are the only ones this has ever happened to. They are turning our account over to a collection agency for the $176.32 they say we owe for service we do not get.
