There is no correlation between the customer and the company. Not once has Planet Fitness sent me an email, a phone call or a notice in the snail mail about the status of my membership. There is no invoice or statement. However, they want to charge me for a membership for their services that I do not want anymore. I have tried multiple times to cancel-over the phone, on the website and in personal, it just seems they want to hold my membership as hostage. Do not waste a dime with this company, do not get lured into a $10 membership. If you are a current member with this company you are basically running your wallet into the ground.
