I had my eyes examined at Eyedeals. I was referred to them by my insurance company. I
received an eye exam and placed an order for glasses. I was charged $475 for this one pair of
glasses and I was told this price included a 40% discount. This pair of glasses was progressive
lens. One week later I picked up my glasses. I immediately noticed that when driving I had to pivot my head down to see at distance clearly. I returned the very next day 22 and
told the person who sold me the glasses, Leslie Pruitt, about this problem. She insisted that all I needed was an adjustment. Against my better judgment I listened to her and let her
adjust the glasses. The problem still persisted over the weekend I also noticed that I even had to pivot my head while watching TV. I returned to the store today 4 dyas later and told Leslie that I wanted a refund. She told me that I had to speak with the Manager Jim Lewis. I commented that I found it odd that she had authority to sell eyeglasses but not to issue refunds. I had to wait to speak with Jim Lewis. I explained to Jim what had happened and that this was the second time I returned I simply wanted a refund. Jim was disrespectful to me in that he ignored all that I said and asked me to get another adjustment. I then reiterated that this was the second time I had to return and I was not interested in attempting another adjustment I simply wanted a refund. He then told me the store policy was not to issue refunds.
This policy does not appear on my invoice and it also doesnt appear on my credit card receipt. When he said this I left the glasses on the counter and told him I would have to contact my credit card company and the Better Business Bureau. I then purchased nearly identical glasses from another store both had titanium frames for $228. Its amazing that Eyedeals gave me a 40% discount and their glasses cost more than double the amount from another store.
