I had a very unpleasant experience with Gordon Ng. I'll keep this complaint short and concise, I hope that after you read this you will not give him any business.
The wait times for ridiculous, i waited nearly 2 hours for my eye exam which was covered by OHIP.
The establishment was very dirty, I saw cockroaches running around when I was waiting.
During the eye exam I never saw him ever wash his utensils. I looked around and I noticed there was no tap.
This was the worse part of the eye exam. I would not be writing a complaint about him if he did not do this. He tried to sign me up for a pyramid scheme. This is quite unheard of especially a doctor doing this. I assume he has been doing this for quite awhile since he knew what he was talking about. He spent 40 minutes explaining the "opportunities i had if i were to sign with his organization" during the eye exam. I was very hesitant to sign/join his organization because of the suspicious $99 joining fee. I told him that I would look up his organization before signing anything with him. Suddenly, his face turns blue. He goes on to tell me how the internet misrepresents his organization. Do not give this man any business, he preys off his customers with this scam and the mere thought that he tried to trick me is insulting.
On another point, his business is directly linked to http://www.justeyesoptical.com / which is located directly above china town center. The owner of the store is the brother of Gordon Ng, Joe Ng (professional table tennis player). You can get a free eye exam from Gordon Ng if you buy glasses from justeyesoptical. But I tell you stay away, there are many other places that will give a free eye exam if you buy glasses from them.
Stay away!!
