Be careful, if you go to Arizona Heart Hospital for Hyperbaric treatments. They told me that 100% of all charges would be covered by my insurance and yes I got it in writing. However they did not tell me that the doctor supervision was not included and the doctors who supervised the treatment were emergency room doctors billing at emergency room rates.
After each treatment the doctors would look in my ears, ask me how I felt, and then make notes on my chart. Total time approximately 1 minute. They did not allow me to leave until the doctor arrived and made me wait for him. After I completed the 30 treatments I started receiving bills for the doctor supervision.
I was charged $330.00 for each 1 minute exam. The doctors billed me at a rate over $18,000 per hour and not all of it was covered by insurance. It cost me over $3,000 for about 30 minutes of doctor time.
If you need hyperbaric treatment arrange to have a regular doctor supervise and avoid the high cost of emergency room doctors.
