Took husband to emergency room because of possible heart attack. He was treated by Dr. Peckenpaugh. We were never informed that there was a possibility of my husband being treated by an out-of-network doctor. I want to warn everyone who goes to this hospital to be sure and ask before they get treated at this hospital that the doctor is in network with your insurance company first and if the doctor isn't tell them you want an in-network doctor.
We had no problems with any of the other doctors being in-network, just Peckenpaugh.
We received two billings for $485.90 from them after the insurance company paid him almost $200 for the short amount of time he treated my husband.
What a ripoff and they send two quick billings and the second billing threatens being turned over to a collection agency if you don't pay.
So just be wary and ask questions first.
