WELLNESSWATCHERSMD.com - they are crooks!
On Jan 1 I perused some Acai Berry Websites - one of which linked a $25 gift card. I perused it but DID NOT ORDER IT.
Here is my nightmare experience with WELLNESSWATCHERMD
1) On Monday Jan 5, I received an email that was going to begin billing my credit card $60 a month for their health plan. This was due to my accepting the $25 gift card (WHICH I NEVER DID) I phoned them and insisted I did not order the product and insisted on cancelation of this alleged purchase. Per the offer I had 15 days to cancel before being charged.
2) The telephone agent informed me the "system was down" and he could not help me at that time. He asked for my phone # so the that he could supposedly call me back with "the system was up".
3) I refused to give my phone # out, and informed him I did NOT believe the system was down and that it was just a ploy to not cancel my "order". I demanded the matter be dealt with immediately and that he transfer me to a supervisor.
4) After several more bogus attempts to convince me that the system was down, I was transferred to the supervisor. She had all of my info in front of her (even though I had NOT given this info to either her or the original agent). Gosh! It seems the system was not down after all!
5) January 7, two charges from WellWatchersMD of $1.83 each appeared on my bank account/credit card.
6) I phoned them January 8. They said the $1.83 was a "service charge" that would drop off my account after 30 days.
7) I insisted it drop off NOW and informed them there were in fact not one - but two - charges of $1.83
8) Oh "oops: says they. Someone accidentally his the backspace button and charged me twice. It should gone in 30 days.
9) I again called them on their bluff - saying it was yet one more manipulative practice on their part to charge me money - and insisted on the reversely immediately - OF BOTH BOGUS CHARGES - which they finally did.
10) I informed them at the top of the phone call that I was recording the call for my bank, that I will notifying my bank of their unscrupulous activities, and that I will be notifying related websites and others about their criminal practices.
