They are in the business of assisting people in obtaining meds that would otherwise not be able to, due to unemployment or for some other reason not having insurance.
This company has, in the last few months, repeatedly autodebited my checking account, despite my having told them not to. I had repeatedly paid them by check. I had paid them late a few mos ago, and called them to pay them with a credit card to catch up. Once they got hold of my debit card number, they have taken it upon themselves to without my authorization charge my bank account, causing overdrafts.
As I have a credit union, it is more problematic to do a chargeback. I have to request the form, wait for it in the mail, and then have it investigated or go into bank. -they will not do it automatically like a large bank.in the meantime, I have accrued overdraft fees and have no money.
Health Med Assist did the same thing last month. I called them and left NO FEWER THAN 12 MESSAGES with Michelle, supposedly my case worker, and the Rx person Alex. I did not receive ONE SINGLE SOLITARY MESSAGE BACK.
I seriously began to think they were out of business. I started investigating same, until about 4 days ago 8/6/09 I received a bill.
Just tonight 8/10/09 my husband and I opened our account, and THEY DID IT AGAIN and the bill is due the 15th. This makes it such that when a check comes in and another charge we made, we will be overdrawn and this of all weeks we literally are EXTREMELY STRAPPED FOR CASH. Now I once again have to go through a big trouble with my bank with overdraft fees (I was successful in getting the last one reversed at the bank).
I would like to mention that, last time, during the 12 times I called and got NO call back, as a test, I called them from a different number and said my name was Lina to test and see if they were just avoiding me. Sure enough, I got a message back immediately.
I am NOT late with a payment. The payment is due on the 15th, and yet they autodebited my account.
I have left message after message and cannot get them to stop this behavior.
I have poasted this with the Utah Attorney General andthe Better Business Bureau. I have gotten NOWHERE with them, asking them to reverse it. They are DELIBERATELY avoiding me. I am going to have to close down that card and get another one, obviously.
