Dear [deleted]

Thank you for your inquiry dated 7/1/08 regarding the overdraft fees. We value you as a customer and appreciate your business. Your concerns are important to us. We will be happy to assist you.

Please note that this is the follow-up message for previous e-mail.

And also two check card transactions in amounts of $2.72 and $2.50 was paid against insufficient funds on 6/26/08 as well. Based on this information, the remaining three $35.00 overdraft fees were applied to your account on 6/27/08 and 7/1/08.

A check card pre-authorization hold reduces the available balance in your account. When you use your card to obtain goods or services or to obtain cash, the merchant may obtain a pre-authorization for the purchase.in this case, we place a one-business day hold on your available balance for the amount of the pre-authorization.

When the hold expires, details of the hold are cleared from the system, causing it to appear that the overdraft occurred when funds were
available.

We can understand that these fees are expensive; however, when you overdraw your account, you incur an overdraft fee. After reviewing your account, we see that the overdraft fees were applied correctly. Though you are a valuable customer to us, we are unable to refund any overdraft fees unless these fees are due to a bank error.

However, for you reference, if you close your savings account the Overdraft Protection will be discontinue.

We regret to hear that you are not enjoying the features of your Consumer Savings account. Bank of America strives to provide a variety of products and services that will meet your needs.

You are an important customer to us and we would like the opportunity to retain your relationship with Bank of America.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. If we may be of further assistance, please contact us again by e-mail. Thank you for choosing Bank of America.
