I went into the clinic to see if there was an appointment to be seen for a hurt neck. They informed me that Dr. Odem had an appointment at 5:45 and it was about five to 5 so I decided to wait since there would probably be a wait time as well at the Emergency room.
The pain in my neck was very intense and it hurt to sit down so I stood in the waiting room crying from the spasms in my neck.
I got called back went into the room and after a while the doctor comes in. He asks what happened and I explained. He tells me to get onto the table. I said it hurts bad to sit down and he said if you want to be checked out get on the table. He then said he would leave so I could get myself together and starts to walk out. I say no don't leave I have been waiting and I am in pain and don't want to wait any longer. He then repeats well then you better get on the table.
I start to slowly climb on the table tears rolling down my face from the pain. At this point he throws his head back and rolls his eyes. He says again I am going to leave. I said no and he looks at me and says it is not my job to show you compassion. If you want compassion go somewhere else. I tell him I don't want his compassion but it hurts really bad. Then I say is there someone else I can see. My fiance tells him to leave the room and explains to him that it is his job to have compassion to a certain extent and be patient as he could see I was in severe pain. Well he goes to leave making rude comments all the way out.
We leave the facility and go somewhere else. The doctor examines me while I am standing so as not to cause me anymore pain than necessary. Showing me courtesy through the whole visit.
I have been to a lot of doctors offices and have never been treated with such disrespect or lack of concern. Horrible experience and would not recommend for anyone to see this doctor.
