Hi, I have been charged twice for same problem.
I have had to visit hospital first time on 15th October as I had acute abdominal pain. I went for emergency treatment as pain was quite unbearable.
Doctors in hospital administered the pain killing injections and did all the tests including ultrasound, they confirmed it was because of Gastritis, prescribed medicines and discharged me on 15-16October's night.
Under the influence of painkillers, I slept that night and in the morning again I started feeling same pain and symptoms were same as was before. Again I was forced to rush to hospital for the same problem in an emergency on 16-17 October's night.
This time again hospital staff did the same ultrasound tests along with many other tests and they found solitary stone in gallbladder, It clearly shows that previous tests were flawed (how come it went unnoticed in previous day's tests?) and it was a mistake of hospital that they did not find the actual cause of the problem and treated the me wrongly.
Doctors treated me ASSUMING it was gastritis (no rational behind this assumption) hence their diagnosis was wrong, and i was charged hugely for this mistake of hospital.
My misery is compounded by hospital's mistake and the huge bill.
I can not pay two times (two times i went in emergency) for same problem. This is more serious considering the case where you don't get correct treatment in emergency and you don't get a second chance to rush to hospital.
I and my family already suffered a lot because of all this mistakes of hospital and we are still paying two more bills of the doctors of same hospital and now this huge hospital bill is giving us immense pain.
Please let me know where i can complain about this and request to waive off my remaining bill (given that more than 90% of total charge has already been paid by my insurance or by me as copay).
