Disability Service Hardships/Study before You Pay / I Guess they Have A Way Out

My husband has been severely ill for 3 years. The illness started with a severe back injury around 18 years ago. He continued to work full time. I watched my husband push his worn out body from 60-40-20 hours per week. It's my understanding when paying for Disability Insurance of 28 years, a loss of back pay is due.

The past 2 years has been horrible trying to survive. He would work 2 weeks and loose 2 weeks.in July his degenerated back gave out, On August 1 the body failed entirely to conjestive heart failure. We applied for the paid Disability Insurance and back pay with daily proof requested for his worksheets in order to calulate what is owed. According to the Prudential Case Worker the loss of pay could be easily seen for the past 1 1/2 years. I agreed along with his Employer. My husband pushed himself into two heart attacks, too proud to ask for help and always a hero to me.

We received notice today after placing a call for a status, 1/21, my husband has been denied the back pay by Prudential Financial, a paid Insurance program. Prudential now points fingers at Social Security. I ask why, Social Security has called us with progress reports. Whereas; We had to call Prudential to find out the unknown.

So, Could someone please tell me why the Insurance Companies were bailed out? Here's the proof of how the Government failed the Middleman.

My husband is on oxygen, sleeps in a hospital bed, has a pacemaker with a degerated back at 51 years old. I have become a 24 hour caregiver, age 49 for one I love very much.in order not to loose our home, we moved my family in, we are living in a 2 room basement.in order not to loose electric for the oxygen it was placed in my childrens name. And one goal in our life was to open a Candy Store, it is now closed. Prudential was given all this information to stop what we were facing so we could pay all bills up to date... But failed to do so with no acknowledgement back to us.

We will soon loose Doctor and Hospital care for there is no way to pay the $1000's in co-pays. Our phone is subject to cut off within one week, Thanks Prudential Financial located in PA.

I do hope this helps All Individuals, Families and Employers seeking Insurance Plans, please reconsider with thought of whom you pay toward your Disability when needed.
