Being Scammed or just toatlly ripped off by Prudential Disability Company

Let me start by explaining where this being, I went out on STD for depression and anxiety and was also having other health problems during this time I was dealing with among drama at work that just became to much for me to handle, I won't go into all the details that lead up to my depression because there is so much, but I have had depression problems for many years but this was by far the worse off I had ever been so my doctor took me out January 17th and started me on medications and i was seeing her every other week, after 4 weeks prudential sent me my first check dated back 3 weeks and then the following week put a stop on my payments, when i called to find out why I was told that i needed to be seen by a counselor to determine if I really had depression problems, so I found a counselor and started seeing her and they started my disabilty back up after they seen her records, the payments came for about 4 weeks and I was given a tentative return date but prior to that date the counselor and doctor decided that I was not ready to return to work as of yet, so they again cut of my payments pending records from my counselor she had sent them and had confirmation but they claimed they had not received them, so she again sent them and it still took them 2 weeks to pay, this went on all the way to May 1st which was another tentative return date.

Before the tenatative return date my Job asked for my restrictions to be sent over, now given this was only a tentative return date it was not full release, so my doctor sends them the restrictions she would have me under on my return so that they could review, prior to my return date the company I work for calls me and tells me that I have to have the restrictions lifted before I could return, and added that my restrictions conflicted with the newly added job details my position was given which was a full time position ontop of my regular full time position, this overwhelmed me and sent me into a downward spiral, I seen my doctor who was furious with my company for doing this to me, but that was all an entirely different issue I am going thru, so again Prudential shut off my disability going by my tenetative return date, so I call them and ask them why, and they said because you returned to work, and I said no i was never returned to work and i am still on disability and under doctor care, so i go to my doctor and explain what happened and so she calls the Prudential case worker and explaines that she never gave full release and asked what they needed to continue my benefits this was around the end of May, now during this time I have not had any income which kept me from continueing to see my counselor $65 a week visit and my treatments and testing i was going thru with a specialist which was costly as well, so the case worker tells my doctor all they needed was an appeal and all her records on my visits for the passed moth, so we get this information for them and fax it to them, a week later I get a call from the case worker telling me that my appeal was denied because my doctor's records were not good enough, I said well what do you need well he then says we need your counselor's records, I said you are fully aware that I have not seen either my specialist or counselor since you cut my benefits off becuase i cannot afford to see them! He tells me that isn't prudentials problem, so i go see my counselor and she sents updated information and goes by my doctor's records and concurs with my doctor's decission to keep me out, and we send another appeal with my doctor, my specialist, and counselor's records, I was then told by prudential after a week of calling to see what my status was on my appeal that they have 45 days to make a decission! I was furious, but it just so happens I have a family member that use to be a claims adjuster and is now working for a disability attorney and she has now contacted prudential on my behalf, and explained to me, that they are just taking there time, and that they could have this problem resolved not more than 2 weeks, so when she called she went to corporate office and the case workers manager and ruffled some feathers, apparently they are going to let me know something by the 10th of July.

These people have put more stress on me in this situation than I was going thru originally. There is so much more that has happened but it is so much, so I just tried to sum all of it up, and not write a book.

I hope and pray knowone ever has to go thru what i have been through with these people, although after reading this sight i have found that people have had similar issues with Prudential, my reccomendation would to never pay for Prudential insurance, they will do whatever they can not to pay even if you can prove you have a legit medical reason for being on STD.
