After falling for the RISK FREE TRIAL offer, I received the trail bottle of Acai Berry (Do Nothing Crap-o-la). This cost me about $4.00 for shipping. However, a few weeks later my bank account was tagged for $89.31 and a second bottle of the Crap-o-la, arrived. After the fury subsided, I quickly tried to call for the next 3 days, only to be annoyed with the typical...'You are caller 1192, please wait...'.
I played this game and finally got a rude individual with little English speaking skills. He cancelled my account and issued me a confirmation number, and followed with the standard, "I'm sorry, you only had 14 days to cancel", speech. I went to my bank immediately and with their effort did find very well embedded and practically hidden "Terms" link on the original web site. This link did display the "14 days to cancel" information.
My bank indicated that they could not refund my money, UNLESS the company took the product back. This company states that they do not accept returns. So I sent the unopend bottle in a different package, Certified Mail, back to the real company. I received the postal confirmation of receipt. With this new documentation, I will again visit my bank with new hope.in closing, it is a shame that our society must tolerate these sham companies and unethical business practices. The old rule must apply..."Buyer BeWare!!!".
