WALGREENS Employee Name 'Noelle'
RUDE employess and bad business practice

I have been using Walgreens in the town I live in for about a year now. I find it very bad practice that the pharmacy technicians ANNOUNCE loudly what prescriptions Im picking up, my full name and address.

In this day and age how safe is that? Especially when someone is using narcotic pain killers? This is not a big town and most people know each other within reason. What's it take for a no name, a stranger or what have you, to hear some narcotic being picked up and by who, then follow the person outside or home... And... Well you get where this is going?

I find they do the same thing when you pick up through the drive thru. I often can hear quite clearly what the people in the car next to me or in front of me are picking up. I can hear their name and addy. I can visibly see the vehicle they have. It would take nothing at all, no imagination or planning to merely follow said person home and relieve them of their narcotics.

Hellllllllllllllo walgreens... Its dangerous.

Now on to their untrained, unqualified pharmacy technicians. Ive encountered at least two of these techs lately that are desperately in need of further training.

WHO are they (the techs now) to decide when I can fill a prescription for INSULIN? Anyone that takes insulin knows that one type of Insulin is usually on a sliding scale of sorts... Sometimes you use more... Sometimes you use less. This is pretty common knowledge to people who deal with meds./or in the medical field. Lil Ms Noelle... The subject of this complaint. Decided she wasnt going to fill my Insulin for 2 more weeks because she deemed me to be using "way too much" and said Id just have to wait. I asked her if she knew what not having insulin means to an Insulin Dependant diabetic. She scoffed and basically said it didnt matter... She wasnt going to fill it... It was too early... They have rules. I asked her to check again and put it through the Insurance. She refused and said No.

I was fuming. And even a lil scared to think I was running really low on Insulin and they werent going to fill it. I called my doctor and she was livid... Said she'd never heard of such bullshit. We called the Insurance company (which I happen to work for) and they said there was NO problem filling it... It was Insulin and is often filled early.

Soooooo what was Noelles problem then? They can fill a narcotic pain medicine up to TEN DAYS early... But wont fill INSULIN which I cannot live without. Makes no sense.

I did file a complaint with Corporate. I dont want to see Noelle fired... But I sooooooo want to see these techs educated a little better and taught how to treat customers with respect.
