CVS Caremark operates through stealing and lying. During a recent review of a bank statement, I found a $180 charge for prescriptions that I did not order. When I called the customer service number, the representative claimed that my doctor ordered the prescription for me and called CVS first so they filled a prescription for a different type of insulin than what I had been using.
This claim was an obvious lie. First, how would the doctor know which pharmacy to fax the new prescription to? I always receive the prescription from the doctor when I arrive for an appointment. Second, the prescription was for a different type of insulin than what I had been using for over 10 years. How would the doctor know to write a prescription for a different type of insulin unless CVS initiated contact and asked him to write a new prescription?
When I called by doctor's office they confirmed what I already knew. CVS called the doctor first.in addition, the doctor's office only authorized the switchover from humalog to novolog, they did not order a refill or tell CVS to fill the prescription.
When a company steals money from its customers and then brazenly lies about it like CVS, just know that it is scum. Never use a debit or credit card with the mail order service, they will rob you blind.
