Veterinarian Charged Without Touching Patient

I had just had my new kitten for two days, when she got a fish hook in her nose. We took her to this clinic, and the vet wouldn't touch her. The veterinarian asked me if the hook had three shanks! I asked her if she meant barbs, and she said, "Oh, yeah." I told her that there was only one.

The vet then asked me if the hook went all the way through into the mouth. I tod her that if she waited for the cat to meow, she would be able to see for herself. So she glanced in there when the cat meowed, and proclaimed that it must not have gone through, and that it was REALLY in there!

By then I had had enough, so I told them that I was going to leave. They actually charged me $130! For NOTHING!

I took the kitty to my regular vet the next day, and they removed the hook, kept her overnight for observation, and gave her an antibiotic, all for $62. There was no cutting, or scarring.
