This Emergency Animal Clinic works on the owner's emotions. They make one believe that their animal will die if it is not seen immediately. Unfortunately, they will not see the animal until the hundreds of dollars are paid in full. They wanted $900 plus dollars up front before they would even touch the dog. When my daughter decided to forego the overnight stay, they convinced her that the dog needed fluids or otherwise would die. To put fluid under the dog's skin cost $166.
We took the dog to our regular Vet the next day. Guess what? The dog was fine, she had eaten a piece of pizza that caused her to have difficulty using the potty. Our Vet's cost — $30! I have used Emergency Services in the past, and they never asked for funds upfront — they actually cared our the animal and never discussed monies until they treated the animal. How can one tell what is wrong and ask for that much money upfront until after they've examined the animal. These places need to be put out of business! Our regular Vet will keep the animal overnight, treat it and let you walk out if you don't have the funds. Why? Cause they are in the businesss of caring, not stealing.
