I write this today in memory of Snowy my horse. He was my best friend and comapnion for almost 18 years. Though many may not understand this kind of bond, I want the world to know I would give my life for just one more day with him. A chance to say goodbye, one last hug, to say how sorry I am for trusting this veternarian.
Feburary 16th. Snowy became ill. I took him to this veternarian and he was diagnoised with a vorus. I was told it was not serious and would pass in a few days. All the while I kept asking about his symptoms. They were as though he had colic, but I was told time and time again, it is just a virus, he will be fine.
On his 7th. Day at the clinic I was told he must have emergency COLIC surgery or die. Of course I said do what ever he needs. Snowy made it thru the surgery and I was able to see him while he was still under the anathesia.
I was told I could be with him more once the anathesia wore off, but till then to wait outside. The veternarain left the clinic and left Snowy unattended.
When he returned I was told Snowy had tried to get up on his own, he fell, he broke his leg. The injury was beyond help. He had to be put down.
This mans misdiagnosis has cost my Snowy his life, His unprofessional actions have taken my life. You cannot leave a 1150 lb. Horse to fend for himself while under anathesia. Horses are flight animals. I am sure when he started to get consious he panicked and tried to rise while still groggy.
This man has lied on his medical records as though he is above the law. There is no legal justice for myself or Snowy. The laws do not recognise my love for Snowy as being emotional. The laws see my Snowy as a piece of property, unable to feel pain, fear, or emotions.
Please don't let this man do this to another. He needs to know his action have created so much pain it cannot be measured in dollars.
