My 85 year-old mother's cable problems began when Rapid Cable CO. Took over the area. Obviously she relies on her tv for much of her entertainment. She has had nothing but problems ever since.
Reception is poor, channels disappear then mysteriously return. Sometimes it has been off for days at a time.
She tried to call but no one answers their phone and when she does get lucky enough to get a human she reports they are snotty with her. When she complains that she should get an adjustment on her bill they grudgingly took off a few dollars when the cable was out for a week, but that was all.
A repair person came out several times and told her that the problem was in the up town junctions, not her home and left. Never to return. The snowy picture and channel disappearances continue.
At first I thought it was her cable then later I find out that her neighbors also have problems that haven't been fixed.
We live in a small town and Rapid is the only available cable we have. I have a satellite dish and am encouraging my mom to get one too. She is charged 47.00 a month for expanded cable that she can't even see or get reception most of the time.
Rappid cable is taking advantage and they should be taken to court to return the fees paid to them in good faith for a service that most are not getting. I am going to the town council meeting this month to complain. Hopefully they are in brach of contract and will get the boot. It is pitiful that they are allowed to continue. I can't say enough bad things about this company.
