I was in the emergency room back in November. I've been contacting the Maricopa Health system billing department. I've been open to make payment arrangements on my medical bill. However, they have a policy that you must pay the bill in full or they will send you to collections. They have sent me to bill collections because I could not pay in full.
Then, in bill collections I talk to a person very unwilling to workout a payment agreement to my budget. Now, I'm facing either to pay the bill in full or be sent to the credit agencies as a delinquent, affecting my credit for seven years. This business must workout payments with the patients.
Also, they are very unpolite people who treat you like criminals when you talk to them. I hope this complain changes some of unfair ways that Maricopa Health Center uses to collect bill debts.
