Sent a bill saying I owed 60 some dollars on behalf of the hospital in my area. I don't deal with collections and had not received a bill from the hospital in years. So I sent the $ directly to the hospital because with a 780 credit score, I couldn't believe that would be out there. Anyhow, the hospital returned a check to me for the full amount saying it would be an overpayment and I did not owe them a DIME! I never ever will deal with collections. If you ever let anything go past a payment, go directly to the source to make arrangements. Any company generally will do so. I had a car accident and more than 1 collections agency jumped on the same bills trying to collect double. Always send them to your Lawyer if it's accident related or deal with the source of the bill if you doubt the legality and reality of what UCB is sending to you. They are frauds!
