Sunrise Herbal Remedies & Garden Girl Bath Products
Fraud, Deceptive Business Practices, Credit Card Fraud

Warning!!!
Do not do business with this company. They are not up front or honest with their customers. Till recently they actually lied to customers who purchased their products.

Sunrise Herbal Remedies has recently been forced to add a disclaimer on their web site informing potential customers about their practice of auto shipping products monthly even if you do not ask for this. They were forced to do this as a result of increased complaints from consumers to the Connecticut Attorneys General Office and the Better Business Bureau. Consumers also registered a large number of complaints to MasterCard and Visa regarding fraudulent charges on their credit card bill.

The owners of the companies "Sunrise Herbal Remedies" and "Garden Girl Bath Products" are Valerie Hawk Hoffman and her husband.

They continue to make wild claims about essential oils and herbal treatments as cure alls for major illnesses. This not only criminal but can be potentially VERY DANGEROUS if their customers follow their advice and NOT receive the correct course of treatment from a "LICENSED MEDICAL DOCTOR".

Their second business, "Garden Girl" sells grossly over priced Bath and Body products. Valerie Hoffman recently appeared "briefly" on "The Home Shopping Network" trying to sell Garden Girl herbal bath and body kits. The Home Shopping Network had to pull her off of the air after just a few minuets when she started making medical claims about the herbal bath and body kits. Sources at The Home Shopping Network tell me she was instructed as to what she could say about the products but ignored these and choose not to follow the guidelines. HSN said, "We can't take a chance getting fined by the FCC for making unsubstantiated and false medical claims about NON PRESCRIPTION PRODUCTS".

I tried to verify sources that are listed on their Sunrise Herbal Farm web site under "As Seen In". Out of the 20 companies I contacted, no one was familiar with Valerie Hoffman, Sunrise Herbal or Garden Girl. I also checked on-line archived periodicals they list as sources on their "As Seen In" web page. NNONE of the key words were found. The archive on most of these periodicals date back over 10 years. These sources are an obvious lie and an attempt at lending credibility to their company. They even list Martha Stewert and the Today Show on the "AS SEEN IN" web page. Do you honestly believe this small company would be featured in either one of these magazines and TV shows. They also list very reputable companies such as Redbook, IN STYLE Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. There is NO RECORDS that Sunrise or Garden Girl has ever been featured in these magazines, television shows or newspapers. I can only assume the owners of Sunrise Herbal and Garden Girl think these sources will never be checked. They even have magazine covers on this web page to add credibility. AOf course you can't see the publish month and the magazine archives do not list Sunrise or Garden Girl anywhere. Big surprise!

I have sent e-mails to these organizations informing that they are being used in a deceptive way.

In closing, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company. This is the worst kind of consumer fraud and shady business practices.
