No contracts at Edge Fitness? Just wait until you try to cancel your membership!
I moved out of state in June, and I just found out they have continued to charge me for membership fees, even though I followed their directions to discontinue my membership. Management claims that my paperwork went to a post office box and no one ever received it.
I recently received an e-mail from Edge stating that they will stop charging me for my membership at the end of December when my account will reach a zero balance. Sure—my bank account! I was assured by management in June that everything had been arranged, my membership would be cancelled, and I could move on without having the weight of a payment for something I couldn't use. I was told I couldn't fax my paperwork to them; I had to give it to them in person, which I did.
It is impossible to use a gym when you move over 1,000 miles from that gym. I am very upset and have been ripped off by a company that claims to have no contracts (until you try to cancel). How many military members have they ripped off?
