Shaws has coupons in thier weekly flier that state "Valid through 5/14/09", It does not state from which date they are valid, for example; Valid from 5/08/09 to 5/14/09.
For someone who does takes things at face value, I made a special trip to Shaws for these coupon deals, and they were not accepted.
To me, "Valid means "Valid" plain and simple
