I went to this store at PG Plaza to purchase an iPhone with a Sprint plan. The clerk ran my info, and I was approved for a plan. Unknown to me at the time, there was an issue where the systems had some trouble confirming my typical and normal state-issued ID.
The clerk, without telling me that there was an issue, ran my info again, including the credit check. Once again, their system had an issue confirming my ID.
I then went to the Sprint store in the mall, and they told me that I couldn't get an account for the next 60 days because my credit was frozen from being checked multiple times in a single day. I must also say, that both times that my credit was checked, Sprint had OK'd me to get a plan through Best Buy Mobile.
I had to wait 24 hours for the credit freeze to resolve itself. Then I got an iPhone and plan from the Verizon website, since I was ineligible to get a deal with Sprint, through no fault of my own.
The bottom line is that Best Buy Mobile has employees working at this location that don't understand credit, but at the same time, they have the ability to adversely affect your credit. If you are looking for a phone and plan, you are better off going to a company's website and ordering online, rather than taking a chance and having a clueless store clerk mess with your money and credit. Do it yourself so that you know that it is done correctly.
