When signing on to ATT wireless my daughter downloaded 2 ringtones supposedly for one charge. We have been charged for 5 downloads every bill since then (6 of them). We called att to have them cancelled (every month), they told us to call the companies to cancel, sent us to a website to cancel, and to email the companies to cancel. We did what we could but continued to get billed.
The websites we were sent to were either non existent or not helpful, and some of the phone numbers were too. We called att every month to complain, talked to supervisors, resolution specialists etc. They kept telling us we had to do it. Finally one guy said he'd get the charges cancelled for the next bill, never happened.
Once, They told us that we wouldn't be charged if they hadn't been downloaded every month. I said to check when the last call was made or gotten. March 7.. I asked them why she would need a download if she wasn't even using the phone, they said they didn't know but she did. We quit using the phone March 7 and went to Verizon, paying the minimum to ATT, thinking it would cost us less than a cancellation fee (we are up in August). HA!
We have spent no less than 5 hours on the phone with them trying to get this resolved, have been disconnected, never called back when leaving a number for a supervisor, and been called liars. I have emailed the President and answered a survey with zeros for customer service, and asked for a call back. They said we'd get one, never did.
We will never use ATT again, in any way, not even if they paid us.
