Verizon Wireless
Can you hear me now? No!

Verizon Wireless is a very disrepectful company who hires some incompetent staff members. I subscribed at a Verizon Wireless dealer back in Northern California around August of 1999. After being transferred to a University in Southern California, I got my new apartment and all was fine until I terminated the plan because of the lack of reception in my area.

I had absolutely no reception in my house or my surrounding area. I thought about getting a new cellphone but I didn't want to pay another $200 for a crappy looking nokia phone. So I called the company and told them that I wanted to cancel the plan. They told me that there will be a $175 termination fee. I said fine, since I paid a $200 deposit, I said oh well I will just give them the $25 so that I won't be bothered anymore. Since it was a one year plan and I decided to cancel the phone on March of and I thought oh well who cares about $25 if the whole cancellation process goes smoothly.

Then in December I got a phone call from a collection agency stating that I owe Verizon Wireless $37? I was like huh? What are they talking about so I inquired with the collection agency of why I was owing $37? To Verizon Wireless? They said I had to call the Verizon Wireless customer service center to find out.

So I called and this guy answered. (Name was asked but don't have it with me right now) And he said "well sir, I don't know anything, you have to call the collection agency to find out the details of your charges." I was like what? The collection agency said you knew of the details. He said "well we don't know" and he just hung up!

Well hell, I'm not going to pay these bastards anything since they don't seem to know what I'm being charged for. It basically goes into a loop of cat and mouse chase. So my advice is don't trust Verizon wireless and definitely the answer to the question "Can you hear me now?" is hell no.

Thank you for letting me vent.
