Hello - I am so disgusted by the way I was treated by Home Depot today. I have had an appointment for cabinet refacing scheduled for weeks now. The appointment was supposed to be at 10:00 am today. I took an entire day of work off for this appointment.
Around 10:25 am I was wondering where the rep was, and why they hadn't called me to tell me they would be late.
I called the central office and they told me that at 9:40 am today the rep cancelled my appointment. They tried calling me but received a busy signal which is impossible because I have a cell phone and it works perfectly fine. You cannot get a busy signal on a cell phone!
Either way, I don't think it's appropriate for a rep to cancel on me 20 minutes before an appointment. That does not give me time to cancel the day off from work. I planned my entire day around this appointment. I now have used up one of my few vacation days, and wasted my valuable time, waiting around for someone who didn't even give me the courtesy of a day's notice.
I would be OK with this if they told me they would send someone else out today. However, I was definitely not offered that courtesy.
I feel like Home Depot is such a large company that my measly appointment doesn't matter in their eyes because they will just make billions of dollars by actually showing up to other appointments.
I am glad this happened to me because I will no longer shop at Home Depot and I will only go to Lowes. I will tell everyone I know how Home Depot treated me, like I didn't matter. I will review your service poorly on every website I can find.
