Before I even begin, please know how many times this type of fraud has been reported against them on usacomplaints.com
So here is my story: Apple ITUNES lets you download games (apps) onto your iphone. For my kids, I only allow cheap and free games, usually only saying FREE and $1.99, etc. My 4 year old son asked me for a game called FARM STORY, which stated FREE, so I downloaded it. AND I ALWAYS READ the information about the game, because I once got charged $99.00 from WITHIN the game, and the excuse they made to me is that a purchase can be made from within the game. So now it happened again! I get a bill from ITUNES today for $49.99. I got on their chat (BY THE WAY, NO SUPPORT, NO ONE TO TALK TO), all on chat for HOURS. And they told me that some "Gems" were purchased from within the game, and that a password was needed to authorize. Well that is BALONY, my 4 year old son cannot even read or write. No password was asked. So they told me they would not refund because they gave me a refund on a similar issue once before. They also told me "change your password", Which I did and it didnt help because I did allow the FREE GAME, not anything paid and it got done anyway. Apple DOES NOT write anything about ANY purchases that can be OPTIONALLY MADE in these purchases, and I think that should be considered FRAUD. And its obviously a common occurrence from what I read on the web. I am disgusted that there is no one to talk to, that such a big company doesnt even BOTHER to try and make it easy for you to contact them.
Damage Resulting = Twice charges on my card, and LOTS OF INCONVENIENCE on chat lines on the web.
