I purchased a 30GB iPod from this seller through his eBay site. I paid $104.99 plus shipping. The first item the seller sent me was immediately defective. The ad had stated that it was "used" but was in "perfect working condition." The unit wouldn't even turn on properly and froze up within 10 seconds. I requested a refund or replacement. The seller agreed to replace the unit.
The second item he sent me seemed to be in better shape and seemed to operate OK. However, it would skip from time to time and then one time I got an error message on the screen that basically told me to take it to the Apple store. I did this and they said that the hard drive was failing and could not be restored.
I notified the seller of this problem with the second unit and said I simply wanted a refund at this point — no more replacements. He agreed to do this once I returned the item to him. I returned it on August 21. I have proof that he received it and it was signed for.
He says he never received the returned iPod and now refuses to refund my money! I have sent him several e-mails, copies of the receipts showing return and his receipt of the returned item, and telephone calls. He refuses to refund my money and has not responded to anything.
