Placed an order for a Canon HG-10 camcorder and immediately realized that I had ordered the wrong camera (wanted the HF-10). Attempted to contact customer service, but after spending over 20 minutes on hold, I was hung up on.
I sent an email and their sales department (Donna) replied that the order had been sucessfully cancelled. Five days later, charges for the camera overnight shipping were charged to my Visa.
I immediately contacted their customer service department and was told that after I cancelled the order, I had re-submitted it and they actually attempted to create a forged email saying I had requested the camera be shipped. When UPS arrived, I rejected the camera and it was returned to the company at 11:45 AM last Friday.
Since then, I have tried repeatedly to contact someone at the company to find out where my refund is, but no one will respond to calls or emails. I have filed complaints with the Better Buisness Bureau and every consumer advocatcy site that I can find. I now have to try and get the charges reversed by my bank since I cannot get a refund for an item that I not only didn't ask for, but returned within 24 hours of it being shipped.
