On 5/14 I had a Direct TV receiver installed in my RV. I have a roof antenna, and the installer said the system was okay. I left on a 21 day trip from Naples FL to Denver CO on 06/06. I did not turn on the TV until 06/07 and could not get a signal. I called Direct TV and went through the steps to correct it, and it did no good. The Direct TV rep said it was likely the antenna.
On 06/12, upon arrival in CO, I went to RV America in Loveland. The tech tested the antenna and, at a cost of $112.00, verified that it was working.
On 06/13 I called Direct TV to try to set up an appointment to get a new receiver. After several calls, Direct TV could not set up an appointment while I was in Colorado. There was no cooperation from Direct TV to get a new piece of equipment.
Now, even though their equipment did not work or was not properly installed, they want a cancellation fee of $348.00. In addition, I cannot speak to a live person to discuss a logical solution.
