They refused to fix my digital camera with a 4 yr warrentee, when the on/off button broke for the second time in 3 wks. I was blamed for the button breaking

I purchased a complete computer package including a HP 475 Digital Camera and Printer from Best Buy in Comstock Park, Michigan. I made this purchase in June and also purchased the 4 Year ESP Extended Warranty on all the products at this time. I use the camera frequently and approximately 5 weeks ago the on/off switch went inside the camera and it would not turn off.

I took the camera and warranty in and Best Buy repaired it. It lasted 3 weeks and the on/off switch broke again. This was the same exact problem. I again took the camera back to Best Buy and they said no problem. After they had the camera for 2 weeks, I got a call that it would be $90.00 to fix the switch.

I called the store and explained that they had just fixed the camera for the same thing and that it was under the Extended Warranty. They first told me they put in the wrong PSP Warranty number and would get it fixed in 5 days.

The next day I got another call that it would be $90.00 because it was not covered under the Extended Warranty. The gentlemen said I had pushed the button in so far it broke the camera. This was the same problem I had the first time they repaired it. The button is only pushed to turn the camera on and off.

Maybe this is an issue the Manufacturer should look at but I did buy a worthless Extended Warranty. FYI, I spent $2,500.00 with Best Buy and I think this is terrible business. If they thought I misuse the camera for whatever reason why did they repair it the first time? Also I have had this camera for almost 2 years without the on/off button breaking.
