Paid in Full now in Credit report? Not willing to talk to me or see my proof Sprint got paid!

OK here is the deal... We found we owed Sprint PCS 118.00 after a credit report in 2005. I called them and paid them directly. THey never reported it to the collection company so now they have it in the credit report and they will not deal with us at all. I have the rec. Sitting here as I type! Now PCS is Embarq and they too are rude and not willing to deal with this and veryone wants us to pay again and again... NOw they want 295 with fees... I paid this and had to I have a security clearence with teh US Government!!! Now I dont know what to do...
