I thought this was over with since 12/26 when I paid off my debt collection with Allied Interstate on behalf of Sprint PCS and now I found out that Allied Interstate never applied my money to Sprint.
Today March 17, I received another collection letter from a different collection agent on behalf of Sprint PCS (David Taylor & Associsates, LLC. Stating I owe Sprint PCS and please pay now. I was so confused that I called Sprint PCS and they had all of these note on me regarding all my phone conversations with their representatives back in 2003 and 2004 but one note stated that I came back to Sprint PCS and prove that I paid off their collection but it was never credit to my account. Sprint PCS couldn't assist me and stated I need to get the money back from Allied Interstated. How the heck would I do that. Me calling a collection agent and demand my money back after 4 years. You have got to be kidding right. I paid and Allied Interstate put bad remarks on my credit. Now I have another collection on my back and I believed my credit reflect this collection which is not fair. I don't know what to do and how to handle this issues. Getting my money back from Allied Interstate and paid off this new collection letter is beyond me. What can I do? Please advise.
