I purchased a LCD tv package from SpectronIQ in January via ShopNBC. One of the selling ponts was the $180 rebate. I follwed the insructions in the form and when i realized that my box was missing the UPC lable I contacted the rebate co PANACER.com and they directed me to just send ALL lables I had on the box. I did this but the rejected my rebate.
I have been in touch with all parties involved and each one blames the other and each time they tell me to call back in a week. When I talk to SpectronIQ they keep asking me to call back and talk to Anne, but when I do she is not available.
Meanwhile the cost of my TV is $200 more than it should have been. I have also been persuing this since early March.
They did say that they NEVER send out a product with out a UPC lable, but said that if I had contacted them within 30 days they could have re-issued one for me if the box was without one? The rebate process takes upyo 12 weeks however. Seems like double a standard.
I have even sent them digital photos of the box to how that the lable was not on the box.
I am also concerned about the warranty. I puchased an extended warranty but when I asked them to help with a sound problem they said I needed to send the TV back?
