There are some times in life where you just have to accept defeat. This does not usually happen to me, but from the correspondence I have received from this company (A Mr Seth Balsam to be precise)... I just had to laugh otherwise I would have ended up crying.
This is basically an Ebay transaction gone wrong. I purchased an Logitech Orbit MP camera from an ebay business called Network Implemantation solutions, and made arrangements for it to be paid for by PayPal,
Now we have just moved from South Carolina over to California, so my Debit Card still had my SC address attached (seems it takes the bank upto 4 weeks to transfer to the new address), so when I paid by PayPal, I put in the note that the camera should be sent to the California address, and not the South Carolina address which is where the card is registered to. No problems I thought.
But wait - This is Network Implementation Solutions that we are talking about here.
Basically, after the camera did not arrive I contacted Network Implementation Solutions to find out where it was, and they sent me a tracking number (this was after they mistakenly sent an email to me saying that the package had been delivered). After checking this tracking number, I found out that the package had been delivered to the South Carolina address!
Doh! Don't these people read I asked myself. But hey, this is not a problem I thought, so I sent an email to Network Implementation Solutions, to find out what went wrong. I was basically told that they had not read the instructions and sent the package to the card address. They also stated that they only send to confirmed card addresses to prevent fraud. Fair comment, so if they had read my instructions they should have sent my money back to me because I was requesting delivery to an unconfirmed address? Right?
So, anyway, I ask my old landlord to visit our old property and to check for packages - none there. I send a colleague of mine round to ask the neighbours if they had picked up a package - no package.
So I have to trust that the Post office delivered the package without a signature, and assume that the package has either not been delivered or has been stolen (unlikely in the area we used to live in). There is not much else I can do, as basically I am 2500 miles away from where the package was supposed to be delivered.
I then contact Network Implementation Solutions again (Seth Balsam - nice enough guy at this time) and he suggests filing an insurance claim - even though he is pretty sure that they will not pay out as the package is showing as delivered. I would need to send a notorized document stating that I had not received the goods. No problem, typed up a letter, down to the BofA, Notarized and in the post. Did not hear anything from Network Implementation Solutions for about 10 days.
So I send another email asking what the situation is, and Seth (attitude still OK, but a tint of roughness in the email). He informs me that he has not received any mail.By this time I am beginning to think I am being taken for a ride, so I thought forget it, I will just pursue this through PayPal.
With PayPal taking his side, I am pretty distraught and frustrated. They state that the seller followed his terms and conditions and was not at fault. I still dont see how a seller sending a package to the wrong address because he has not read the shipping instructions completely is the buyers fault. Anyway, I basically gave up on getting any sort of refund or replacement by this time - not that it was ever offered to me.
So, all I could do was warn other ebay users of this company, and left negative feedback. This made me feel a little better (even though I thought twice about it). I am not a malicious person.
Cue the petty and nasty emails from Mr Balsom. Here is one... Good for a chuckle..

Nice guy hey? Sound like he has small man syndrome.
I am still getting emails from him now. Although I think he is getting bored. I basically gave up when he called me a liar and a cheat... And that is laughable. If only he knew what I did for a living.
So anyway, there are lessons learned here. Just watch this compnay closely of you have any dealings with them... And watch out for that temper of Mr Balsams. I can almost hear the blood vessels popping.
