Network solutions started a new auto-renew 4-5 months ago that, if you have account information in their system, automatically opt-in. You have to remove your account info to stop it or call them.
I switched providers and they started a "refund request". They claimed that they refunded me on the same day, but to wait 7-10 days for it to take effect. (It was paypal. It's immediate.)
I never got my refund. I filed a dispute case with paypal on the 20th, 4 days after my refund date.
After multiple calls totaling about 8 hours of hold time, they said they were researching why I hadn't been refunded by paypal. They also gave me an invalid paypal transaction id which paypal couldn't find, nor could they find any record of an ATTEMPTED refund from network solutions.
Dispute ended after 10 days and paypal gave me my refund.
So what's network solutions got to say about this? I haven't talked to them since, although they still have an ongoing account showing after I transferred my domain and sent me a delinquent account notice!
I will be calling them today and tell them to delete all my records.
