First, I love the entertainment of the video game industry since Atari 2600. This is a billion dollar industry. Game units popularity over the years are based on many aspects. But the most important aspect to me is "just plug it in and play". I was lucky enough to purchase the Xbox 360 the day it came out. But was lucky enough to just get the core system.
Recently I purchased the harddrive to access (to play) the older Xbox games (first harddrive I purchased did'nt work and had to return for another unit that same day, real nice). But found out I could only play Halo and Halo 2 (best games ever made) WITHOUT GOING ONLINE TO DOWNLOAD A PROGRAM to access other regular Xbox games. It took hours to find out its not easy for me to access these programs. Needless to say I still don't have the access to older games and never knew how hard it would or could be. The harddrive is useless without joining a membership and spending time downloading and reseaching what games will work anyways.
For someone who is alert about gaming as me, Microsoft never stated the difficulty playing Xbox games on their new 360 unit. Just to say, with the harddrive, play regular Xbox games. Where's the fine print? I understand that millions of people are happy and should be. But I am very disapointed. I was a true fan of Xbox but losing faith of their misrepresentation. This system should of waited to be sold in stores. The games out now will get old real fast with few titles coming out soon. Time will tell. Please feel free help me understand this matter if anyone has the same problems.
